so just had a random idea of shooting these ladies in black leo one time, and so I did. These were taken last Jan. 10,2016 after our own photo shoot for our grand recital. we just borrowed the studio actually, so thank you Tronco Photo-Video for letting us borrow your set up.
we actually played editorial that day so I was photographer/editor in chief and a good friend, Jaja Bernadas [and teacher Bem], played artistic director who enthusiastically thought of poses and correct angles for them
I shot in both colored and monochrome actually, but I'll concentrate on my monochromes because they were surprisingly beautiful.
here are some of the top picks I have from the pool of monochromes I had.
Denise Litonjua in her fierce passe'
a jump shot from these 4 girls in their hair freely in the air
these girls trying to perfect their infinity pose. I'd rather call these two twins you know.
Audrey and Angelique
this photo is not mine actually but I just want to post it bec. I LOVE it!! (c) Ailey!
and lastly, I know this is not a monochrome but I LOVE it so much I'll share it as a bonus...
behold, my most favorite shot.
Angelique Depasucat in her neoclassic-contemporary pose.
so you might wonder where's the uniformity in this photo. Other than having them wear black leos, there's none. I purposely made them freely choose however way they wanted to wear their black leos, may that be in skirt, shorts, or none at all, and even if they'd wear their hair down, pony, half phony or a bun. Dancers have their own styles anyway, and I wanted to depict it in the shoot.
catch more of my photos on my newly reset flikr acc. ahahah
Who would every think that this Academy Awards nominee would eventually grow up to be a pop star?
HAILEE STEINFELD being on the music scene probably was a shocker to fans who has been watching her out since the beginning.
After her great performances on the big screen with movies like True Grit, Ender's Game, and the ever loved classic, Romeo and Juliet; among the few, Hailee landed her singing break with Pitch Perfect 2. And eventually her role paved way to her first ever EP.
Allow me to talk a little about this new set of songs from the popstar that will definitely rock our 2016 with more of her.
November of 2015, she released her EP with 4 songs that will totally leave you empowered and oozing with a boost of your own self esteem.
1: Love Myself
2: You're Such A
3: Rock Bottom
4: Hell Nos and Headphones
Apart from the usual sweet girl concept that most artists does in their debut albums, Hailee dares to differ as she shrugs off guys and haters in her songs and embracing herself more.My pick for this album would be the first and second song which are Love Myself and You're Such A respectively.
I love both because they don't only leave me dancing but also they give such a strong impression for a song.
Collectively, I love this EP becuase of it's swag feels on the edges. And I love Hailee as well for her sexy swag in her music video (Love Myself). [Though I originally love her from the very beginning. hihihi]
This EP is a jump start for her singing career; indeed. And as a music fanatic, I can say that this Popstar Juliet will take over our hearts with more of her music (and acting) in the future.
check out her lovely music video here!
Shout out to Hailee!!! LOVE YA!!!!...
♔ Justin Bieber - Purpose Album [Why everyone seems to rave on it]
So probably by now you know how much Justin Bieber’s new
album is being loved by people. You might not be a belieber but you start to
doubt yourself after giving some time to listen to this album (or even just a
number of his songs; you do).
So why does the world really rave on this album?
Well I think I can answer that for you.
Somewhat this Album tells us how much JB grew up all
these years (or let's say after all those negative attention thrown to him). He’s not the little boy who pretends to be everyone’s boyfriend
anymore. Instead he is a man that tells the world a certain story and wanting to inspire us. The songs in this album are obviously not made in a rush for the sake of an album, but are written for some purpose with depth and full of emotions.
Somewhat some of
the songs feels like an open letter to someone he knows (or even can be our own
letter to a someone we know).
So basically people start to like this album because the
songs are no more the mediocre ones we usually hear from him. They have depth
and emotions that show us who JB is at the moment and how much he changed; and we start to respect and
love that.
So while I’m at it, allow me to enumerate the songs that
caught my attention in this album;
-Company [it’s just because it feels flirty to me. hahaha!]
-Purpose
-Life is worth living
-The feeling [isn’t it too ROMEO and JULIET for
you? I like it!]
-All in it
So here’s my 5 songs from the album. Emphasis on All In It
and Purpose, these songs together with some others I didn’t mention just
makes me have that impression that JB became more Christian in this album.
Talking about life, how to live it and how to thank God for all the mistakes
and success we had. Honestly these things are not the things I really expected to hear from Bieber. It’s a surprise to me and it made me respect him more.
Lastly, I want to say I liked this version of Bieber because
his voice is not as girly(and annoying) as it was before. Indeed growing up as
a man finally gave more depth to his voice. [thumbs up!]
So if you haven’t checked out this album, I say go check it
now! This will change your prejudices towards this guy. It did for me; at least!

basically writing this entry because I just witnessed the play of our kiddies(juniors) and I can't feel any more proud.
Pamilya Del Fuego is a play about a family and some issues surrounding them. It actually showed one of the worst case scenarios that could happen in a family, but they could really happen in real life.
I really loved watching the play, the scripting was very wise and the direction is very good as well. blocking was very clean and actors were very good and in their best.
the thing that really hit home in this play was that the family is a family of 5 with 2 girls and a boy, which is very like my family, seeing the siblings makes me miss my ate and kuya, but their problems were a far cry from mine,,, ahhahah...... oh well. nevermind this part.
anyhow, you know I've been watching all the theater plays of my juniors after our time ever since, and I always thought our play SAPI was better than all that I've witnessed so far. But I would definitely say I'd drop my pride and acknowledge that this play surpassed ours.[just saying]. don't even think I'm biased over Sapi just because I directed it, I'm proud of our Sapi because it's the only "class effort" that I can call a leggit class effort. but yeah,
this one was way bolder or should I say "daring" than ours. it's like all risks were taken and turned into great opportunities for expression.
[it was actually a little deja vu on my part... it somehow feels like our sapi, only that they were the elite version... and we were, so poor!!! hahahahah]
so I entered the theater feeling excited to see this output of the kids, and never expected to come out very satisfied of what I was watching. I was so into it that I didn't notice an hour and a half passed.
this play was really clean with less to zero faults..
hihihi... you might think this blog is unnecessary; well it is. but you know me, I can't shut up if I find something really great(or annoying) unless I blog it... hahahah...
note to the director though (I hope he can see this) the play was so depressing that your actors might be in danger of falling deep into their characters... please don't forget to bring your actors back after this whole endeavor.....
lastly, shoutout to the whole class.... KUDOS!!!!
I know this is a real class effort... and you're doing really well.... lots of genius placed in this play.... bakod!!!
It's been over a week since I've watched this movie, and I just can't let it slide without talking about it; even though it's loooong over due.
So yeah, what happened after the glade? Basically that’s what Scorch
Trials is all about. It’s the second installment after Maze Runner where we see
our boys starts running, not anymore in the maze but in a big devastated land
under the scorching heat of the sun; thus the name.
Before I say anything about this movie, I just have to say,
I’m a big fan of the books thus I don’t really like it when makers starts to "jungle-up" the whole movie franchise. And this movie installment of the Scorch
Trials didn’t really go as the book says.
There were lots, like really A LOT of mixed up scenes and
settings that were changed that I think important episodes were not
given justice [so to say, Teresa’s role in the whole story. Sorry spoiler!]
Let’s say, they tried so hard to summarize the whole trilogy that it started skipping a huge amount of scenes [and I think I
already know what the third movie would be about.]
I was practically forced to
suspend everything I’ve read in the books from book 1 to book 3 just that I’d be
able to absorb all the NEW information the movie franchise wants me know.
[that’s the thing about makers buying the rights to change the things in the
movie, they always try to summarize things; and as a fan, I just don;t really like it.... Tsktsktsk]
And also, you know one thing I was really looking out in the movie was hearing the actors put their "glade slang" into reality. I mean I missed those glader words like shank, clink, shuck, sticks and everything else. I thought I was finally hearing Minho use them, but I think I never did.
However, instead of hating the movie totally, I think I can
forgive them. That is because, they might have shook-up the whole sequence in
the movie, but the trill in the books was preserved and translated well. That was what made the books so cool anyway, because it gave you a hella
thrill while you were reading it. And yes, the movie didn’t disappoint. And let’s just say, SOME important scenes were there too, only that they
changed the settings and things like that.
Well, all in all, I’d give this movie a good rating. Just
because the boys are just so HOT! Joke! No, I give it a 4 out of 5. Because I
was still so thrilled, and yes, they were so hot [*cough* Hot men and their monolids *cough* MINHO *cough cough*].. ahhahah!!!
Shoutout to my new ship! NEWT-TERESA! Yey!!!! Random ships
rule!
but before I end this, I'd just want to leave you with a photo of our(me and friends) ultimate trio....
You might want to give reactions to this one, just feel free
to leave a msg on the comments bar or on my cbox! Love lots! Bye!
