so yeah, inline with this anniversary, we went to watch Daddy (manong Roem) in his other play (after 1 year), TAGO.....

it's a story about a family and their experiences during the 2nd World War when the Japanese came to the country.

so let's go straight to my purpose..... "What I think about the Play?"..... well, honestly speaking, the play was good.... but not perfect.... it was seriously a good one... but there were a  bunch of errors in them..... (sorry to say)....

I seriously love the STORY LINE..... it was crazily good....[kudos to RJ Gever for that] super two thumbs up....
ACTORS were also so great!!!! like seriously great..... allow me to pinpoint a few ones whom I quite have something to say.......
-Keifer - I seriously think Keifer was Nato the whole time.... from start to finish, his acting was good with no character lapse; perfect!
-Jecky - here's another person with no character lapse.... she was good with her role....
- Dianara - now she's my bet for a Best Actress award on Bilib..... she was totally good... acting blind is never easy... but she did her character well..... nothing more to say, SHE WAS REALLY GOOD
- RJ -  now that's one talent I see.... good actor with a great deal of potential..... now I stand firm on what I said last time that he's one handsome guy..... he really is.... he's like a visual of talent....[ugh, I just can't explain!]... but trust me when I say he's the kind of beauty I was looking for for Toto's role back in Sapi..... a beauty that's not so pretty, not so white, but really appealing.... gosh, I wanna re-stage SAPI now!.. ahahahah
- Shrerizze - I didn't expect her to be an actress, but she did a good job.... she really was.....
- Jhames -  not sure if I should say I liked his acting.... or just so so.... but one thing is for sure, he reminds me of our very own Renemar.... ahhahaha

some of them also did a good job... only that, there has been some sort of Character lapse somewhere.... or should I say, inconsistency.... for example: Red.... he's really good, but his speaking is just not right... he is still Red when he talks..... also Austere, his characterization was perfect actually... his acting was good, he was really the bastard soldier.... but Austere just suddenly comes out because of his stance,.... there's this "Austere stance" that I think should not have been there. but still those rape scenes were FREAKIN' GOOD! [yet kinda bitin... I was really hoping for a better rape scene though... not the crazy one, just something more to that... oh well]

sorry to say though, Robert and Jess were not really in character though.... they were just acting their characters, and not being them....

now let me go to this last and the greatest element in the play that made me wanna freak out in frustration....... I'm really sorry to say this, but the tech was seriously crappy..... lights were the same all through-out..... sounds abruptly comes in and out...... I really don't like it.....
those freeze part were supposed to be good, I love how they stopped the time and freeze every now and then.... but they could have dimmed some parts where the actions are not important, or change the lighting color on the freeze narration scene..... tech wise, I'd have to say it's a fail.... tsktsktsk....

also, I really didn't like the script.... some of the parts were kinda draggy... and some parts, I think were unnecessary..... some made it seem like a gag show other than a heavy drama play.....

now if you would want me to rate the play in  a scale of 1-10..... i'd love to give it a 6... story-wise and actor-wise..... I love the story, I love the actors (I'd really love to work with them someday), I Love the sets (good job nang Eleanor... though it reminds me of the SAPI house)... but the lights and sounds (and blocking) were really not nice.....
but then again, if I were to give my reaction in one word, I'd be happy to say "it was good" (with a two thumbs up).....

now I really miss directing SAPI.... I just hope and I will continue to pray that a re-stage is soon coming our way.....
