so here goes my promise (to explain myself of my crazy obsession that is) of writing a blog about my undying love for the Hunger Games trilogy...............
[this might get so lengthy, but trust me, it's all my heart in it.... kekeke]
well to those of you who still hadn't noticed; yes I'm a fan, I'm a crazy obsessive fan of the Hunger Games (books & movies)........
so how did it start?.... well, let me start my story by admitting how LATE of a fan I am.... I only saw the first film last January 2013, just because I was bored and not because I really wanted to see it.........
when the movie went out last March of 2012, I had no interest of what-so-ever on watching it, simply because I made a mental promise to myself that I will not watch the movie until such time I go read the book. let's just say because I never wanted to overwhelm myself of the movie and read the book only to find out how drastic the alterations were.. [most of the adaptations I watched were like that...... even my ever favorite Harry Potter series was.]
but to my surprise, it was not.... the movie was just a perfect replica of what was written on the pages of the book. after watching the Hunger Games, I had questions running off my mind that I thought would be answered in the book but then it just didn't.... what the movie said is exactly what the book was saying.... [true for Catching Fire as well...... Kudos to the writers, producers and the Director for that genius.....]
and so here I go drifting off to my other world, my world in the City of Panem..... after amusing myself of the Hunger Games, I immediately jumped to the next two books.
I was totally hooked by the whole story that I was locked up in my "Panem World" (I'd like to call it that
way), for about a week or so..... I walk in school thinking of the Hunger Games, I sit in class and react on every word my teacher says that sounds like the Hunger Games, and I seriously dream about the Hunger Games....... like seriously, I have repeated dreams of Katniss in the forest fires and Katniss with Peeta on the caves, [but never me as Katniss though, that's childish... LOL. although I have some when I see myself in the games... kyaaaa~!!! freakin' awesome!... LOL] I'm kinda weird fan, I know.... kinda afraid it's somewhat a psychotic problem too..... but then, no worries, after a week I get cut off..... LOL
what made me love this whole Hunger Games?......... I don't really know, but like what I always say,
"I know a good story when come across one"... and the dreams are my confirmation..... well probably it's the whole reality that I see in it..... like the whole "money is the status" thing.... like the powerful gets even powerful and the poor ones are left to die [I mean let's face it, this might sound as a seriously harsh and impulsive judgement on my part, but it SOMETIMES happen in our society (okay, emphasis on 'sometimes')..... ]
also the whole thought of the games totally thrills me out..... I'm always a fan of action.... I love seeing shoot-to-kill scenes and combat-filled ones......... and I just love how this whole freakin' sadistic games were conceptualized.....................
bloody and victorious..................... [I know people always say it's an idea originated from Battle Royale though, but I'm still about to see it, so just let me rest on this thought as of now... kekeke] .....
and this whole feminine hero thing makes a good impression to me..... you know I always loved strong girls
doing some crazy stunts and action.....and handling deadly weapons, most esp that bow and arrow (eg. Queen Suzan of Narnia)..... ahhahah.... I find them so cool.....
but i think what appealed to me the most is the focus on the politicking..... it's not the usual popular stuff that we come across where it's mostly love for the opposite sex or something, and no real issues that matters to society. [although there is a flavor of romance in it, but it's just the scattered moments here and there and nothing of great importance... I think it's just a fan service of something just to feed the romantic thirst of the audience... LOL]........... this time, it's love for family and soon grew to the love of her district, to the love of her people....... its as hope-full as a 17 year-old girl standing up to lead a revolution, one thing we think can be so impossible yet possible at the same time...........it's something so frictional but real at the same time......honestly never came across something like this before..... such a witty story to say the least.....
Hunger Games is like the second book series that I really loved [Harry Potter is first of course.... but wait, I think it starts to overthrow HP.......... well since I got hooked with Potter because of my sister, and I got hooked with Katniss in my own accord.... it explains it! I'm not here to diss out HP though, please don't misunderstand....]
I love Hunger Games because of my love for the Games, and not because of my love for J-Law [honestly, I didn't even know her name until I watched Hunger Games... LOL]...... the actors has this special spot in my heart because they played the characters of the book, and not vice-versa...................... [which is mostly different in my other obsessions, where I love the movie because of my love for the actors..... make this different]
who would ever not love the Hunger Games?.... it's freakin' amazing!
I'm never gonna deny thought that I am a serious addict who gets too hooked up with something I see that I really like.... [and when it's really good, I get hooked up too bad.... LOL]
on a side note: do you know that I have this different kind of fixation towards Jenniffer Lawrence's Interviews..... especially seeing her with Josh..... the interviews then becomes sick funny stuff..... they're like match-made in heaven for being such good friends..... [I don't ship them though, just Katniss and Peeta, not them....] I just wish I can see more of them in the future..... J-Law's so down to earth, she is so candid......., she never fails to make me laugh..... hard.
................................................
so, did this just explain my crazy posts and unending blabbers about the Hunger Games books/movies?.......... I think it does.... ahhahaha.....
feel free to comment on my craziness..... or probably share to me your crazy Hunger Games moments too.... ahahhah......
bye~!
