"your ART reflects your CHARACTER"
well I totally agree.....
we had this Talk/Forum/Critique day for our 90sec Haiku Interpretation films earlier by the writer "Luis Batchoy" himself.... and one the things that struck me the most is what he said about your interpretation on art reflects your own character...............which is really true for me.... [for the case of my 90sec video that is]
well my 90sec video was an exact imagery of a High School love. what "Young Love" tends to be like...... my haiku, by the way, reads:
"You are the chaos
my heart all torn assunder
and then, you are its calm"
which I translated to a love that is so overwhelming that you think your world evolves around that person alone...... I chose to relate this kind of love to a very young kind of love..... HIGH SCHOOL that is..... some times, first loves, young loves, or whatever we call that, gets too overwhelmed on that moment of being in love, that your world evolves around the person, that a simple separation would get you so worried and just the sight of that person would wash all these worries away.......
now that film of mine was sooooo highschool..... I got my inspiration from "The Heirs'" Lee Bona and Chanyoung couple, which I eventually, thankfully, achieved.... all my classmates received it as a "cute" film... very light and something that makes them smile............................. well, that's exactly my goal! to get them to the feeling of cuteness and happiness of a "first love"...................... yeah, even my teacher was speechless [i wanna translate that in a good phase]
but then, the writer of the haiku seemed to be looking for something more than what I gave..... well he may not be a fan of High School dramas I suppose.... that's where the catch comes in... I may have satisfied myself and my classmates and my teacher, but I failed to hit the writer..... it's not like I was making this film to satisfy myself, or my classmates, or my teacher; i was making this film to satisfy the writer.......
it's not like he really disliked it, it's just that he said it lacked the bomb.........
well I admit, it was lacking the WOW factor that could have probably made it even better... I do think it's my peg that is to be blamed [LOL]... The Heirs was not that of a WOW drama actually, it was just OKAY....., so I think while I was making the video it was not the WOW factor that I am concerned of..... it was plainly having to achieve the "The Heirs peg", hence my output was also just "okay" .....but thinking back, I guess that was already my version of "better".... I'm satisfied.... I just wanted my audience to FEEL it.... and not SHOW it to them.... so seeing my classmates smile at the end of the film makes me satisfied.... "I achieved my goal".... soooooo let's just let it be....
now now, you might be curious of what I am taking about already.... so.... I guess I'll be showing it to you.....

hope you like it!
bye bye!
